HOKIE FOOTBALL SEASON!

Ben and I are going to DC for the Boise State vs. VT opening game at FedEx Field over Labor Day weekend.  This is a perfect way to kick off the beginning of the season! I love Hokie and VOL football! :)

For our 2nd Anniversary we went on a 7 Day Southern Caribbean Cruise from San Juan, Puerto Rico to St. Thomas, Dominica, St. Lucia, Barbados, St. Kitts, and St. Maarten!  It was an amazing vacation! Enjoy beautiful photos...

VEGAS...x3

So...Ben and I went to VEGAS for the third time in the past 12 months! I know we are pretty much insane.  But every time we have a great reason to go -- ha, like you need a reason to go to Las Vegas!  Anniversary, New Years Celebration, and now we went to see Kenny Chesney live in concert.  He was amazing to see live! He played for over 2 1/2 hours! We traveled with some wonderful friends and stayed at the Venetian...enjoy some photos...

Vero Beach

Some of our great friends got married over the wedding! We had such a blast spending time with all of our close friends...some we haven't seen in years!  We traveled down to Vero Beach, Florida...it was beautiful ... definitely a great way to kick off the summer season!

Something delicious I made last night that I wanted to share....

Roasted Butternut Squash with Rosemary, Pecans, and Gorgonzola

and Salmon and Dill....

In a 8x8 baking dish, drizzle some olive oil in the bottom - then add some chopping onions in the bottom. Lay a piece of salmon on top of the onions, salt and pepper, add  some fresh dill on top. Roast in oven at 425 degrees for about 10 or so min.

YUM!!! :)

home repairs

I guess it's time for a new post! Especially in 2010! :)

Ben and I are doing some so many renovations to our house!! It is crazy -- we ripped out our carpet, put down hardwood floors, painted 5 or 6 walls, put down a new countertop in our bathroom, laid tile in our master bathroom and guest bathroom, hmmm... I think that is it for now-- but I'll post more later and add photos! oh by the way -- this has been going on for more than 7 weeks! We hope to finish EVERYTHING by Thursday! It is our goal so we'll see! We have friends coming in town on Friday so it has to be finish...:)
